"A person's a person, no matter how small."
Greetings Parents, Students, and Friends of Lincoln Elementary School,
It is such an honor to be an educator in an outstanding institution for learning. Lincoln Elementary is an outstanding academic institution. I am very proud to be your child's 6th grade homeroom teacher and math teacher for 5th and 6th grade students.
It is very important that your child attend school each day. The new curriculum is difficult this year. Time is of the essence for instruction.
Each day, your child will have home learning (homework). Please check your child's home learning notebook. It is very important that you sign the notebook each day. I will check for signatures each day.
Please encourage your child to read ten minutes each night. Please allow your child to orally read to you each night for five minutes. This will help with fluency and retelling.
As you know, the PARCC test is drawing near. Please allow your child to stay for afterschool tutorial services on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The extra help will enhance your child's understanding of the skills that is needed to help him/her pass the test.
Parent's conferences are very important. The conferences give you and the teachers a chance to communicate face to face about your child's academic needs. If you would like to schedule a conference, please contact Mr. Shephard. He will assist you with this matter.
If you have any questions or concerns, please send an email to email@example.com.
Thank you for all that you do for your child's future.
We believe that "A person's a person, no matter how small." (Dr. Seuss)
